We believe volunteering changes you. By volunteering, you sign up to help the members of our church have a better life story, but the time you spend here will also have an impact on you. While you volunteer, we think you will experience a stronger personal faith, a deeper community with other adults, and more fun than you thought possible. If any of these reasons sound good to you, we have many ways for you to get plugged in at Emmanuel and join our team. We believe God gave us all diverse and unique talents. Take a look below at the many ways you can be involved. See something that feels like it fits you and your gifts? Message us today or sign up with the form at the bottom of this page. If you're still not sure, reach out and we can help.
Volunteer with us
-
Coffee Hosts
Who doesn't love the smell of coffee on a Sunday morning? Our coffee hosts are one of our most appreciated volunteers. They are responsible for all aspects of coffee prep, service and set up. They are also a welcoming face in the foyer when congregants arrive.
-
Ushers
Our Usher teams do many things to help keep our services running smoothly. They are the friendly face at the beginning of the service passing out bulletins. They pass microphones around during our sharing and prayer time and they are also trained in carrying out Emmanuel's emergency response plan.
-
Emmanuel Kids Volunteers
EK Volunteers help to lead and guide the kids of Emmanuel in a lifelong faith. There are many positions available to help with Emmanuel Kids. We have leaders, check in assistants, and helpers.
-
Tech Team
Whether you are digitally minded or not we can use your skills to help run the worship services from behind the scenes. Our tech team plays a huge part in delivering our services every Sunday. Training is provided and no prior experience is required.
-
Worship Team
Be a part of the music teams at Emmanuel and use your skills to inspire love and obedience to Christ. If you play a musical instrument or enjoy lifting your voice in song, message us and we can get you set up with a worship group.
-
children Volunteers
Our kids LOVE being helpers. If your child is interested in helping stacking chairs after pot lucks, passing out bulletins in the mornings or even assist in the sound booth or helping an adult with other tasks, please let us know. We enjoy seeing the children help out with different jobs and it makes their experiences at the church meaningful for everyone.
-
Kitchen Hosts
We often need people to help operate the kitchen appliances when our building is rented. It is helpful to have taken the food handlers course with this position. There is a small stipend available.
-
building hosts
Building hosts are responsible for hosting rentals that occur in our church. They will facilitate the set up and clean up of rentals. There is a small stipend available.
-
Service Leaders
The role of service leader is an important one. They guide the service and help to link all aspects together. They start the service, call the community to worship, pray, read scripture and have a public, on stage role. One needs to be comfortable praying and speaking in front of others.
-
Committee members
Our church committees meet once a month and are responsible for overseeing different areas of the church. We have worship, formation, facilities and missions committees that you can become involved with.

Odd Job Squad
If you are handy and available to help with odd jobs around the church, contact the office and we can put you on our "Odd jobs squad" email list.
